Leadership Interview Video Series

This video series was produced to highlight the future of our product portfolio and to discuss our vision moving forward for potential applications of next-generation sequencing in clinical diagnostics. In order to fit the goals of each video segment, leadership members were given a wide variety of questions prior to the interviews. These interviews resulted in a many “sound bites” that were fit into their appropriate video segment to highlight one aspect of our vision for the company.

Press Releases

In 2014, I developed press releases and managed media outreach to support key collaboration announcements for the business, and product updates.

With my responsibilities, I interviewed the project leaders to ensure messaging was on point with the purpose of the business initiative, and to ensure an appropriate media outreach plan was enacted. For key press releases, follow up interviews were scheduled with major genetics news outlets, for continued coverage of the news. With that effort, I  have maintained relationships with Genome Web, Genetic Engineering News, and other key life science and genetics news outlets.

As marketing manager for NimbleGen, I managed our sales collateral and writing the communications for these pieces. Each flyer & brochure were written in conjunction with a subject matter expert in target enrichment: I wrote the introductory sections to highlight the applications the market and product benefits, while a product manager or R&D expert would provide the technical background on data provided herein. Both sections were edited by the team for consistency.

Roche NimbleGen partnered with Kapa Biosystems in 2013 to sell a complete set of products for library preparation. This video was developed to highlight Kapa Biosystem’s kit in completing our workflow solution for target enrichment.

NimbleGen offers a wide variety of DNA microarrays and DNA sequencing products for focused research of the genome. Each application has it’s own icon and subsequent artwork developed around that theme, however the imagery still has a cohesive overall brand.

 

Scientific Illustrations

My interest in molecular biology was prevalent in my undergraduate studies – I was originally a double major in art and molecular biology. But, my love for art transitioned into a graphic design degree, with a passion for visually communicating complex subject matter. The knowledge I gained in my undergraduate coursework is a huge asset to working in a biotech company. In these scientific illustrations I have worked to create visually engaging and scientifically accurate protocols.
